Teachers should start the new academic session with comprehensive planning. Dr. Kamran

BAHAWALPUR: Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, has said that high-quality teaching and learning is the top priority. For this purpose, teachers should start the new academic session with comprehensive planning. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while addressing the heads of teaching departments before the start of the new academic session at the Baghdad ul-Jadeed Campus today. He asked the deans, chairmen, chairpersons, and teachers to use all their energy for regular classes and teaching a world-class curriculum approved by the Higher Education Commission. High-quality education is actually the reputation and recognition of the institution. Parents, students, and other segments of society rate educational institutions based on educational quality. The Vice Chancellor said that he is fully focused on quality education and expects the faculty to implement it.

A training session on quality education will be organised for teachers of the campus and affiliated colleges in the middle of this month. He himself will participate in this session and deliver lectures. The Board of Studies is the first step towards quality education which should be integrated. The Learning Management System should be updated so that attendance grading and curriculum are as per the prescribed standards. The Vice Chancellor said that all the teaching heads should start the new academic session with a new spirit. He said that an advertisement has been given to improve the quality of visiting faculty and he will sit in the interview panel himself. The Vice Chancellor directed that laboratory work should also be ensured regularly. On this occasion, Director of Academics Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal provided information about the ratio of teachers and students in the university and the details of the previous semesters with the help of statistics.
