High-level delegation of Arab countries to visit Ramallah tomorrow
RAMALLAH – A high-level delegation of Arab foreign ministers will visit the Palestinian city of Ramallah tomorrow. The purpose of this important visit is to meet with the Palestinian leadership and discuss the current tensions, humanitarian crisis and political developments in the region.
According to sources, the delegation is being led by the Saudi Foreign Minister, while the delegation will also include senior diplomats from other important Arab states. The delegation will meet with the Palestinian president and other senior officials, in which discussions are expected on the situation in Gaza, Israeli actions and the basic human rights of Palestinians.
The visit is being described as a continuation of the Arab world’s solidarity with the Palestinian people and diplomatic efforts to resolve the Palestinian issue. The Arab foreign ministers are likely to reiterate their position in a joint message calling for the establishment of a Palestinian state, a two-state solution and recognizing East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.
Regional observers are calling the visit not only symbolic but also a milestone for future diplomatic developments. The delegation will also hold media briefings after the visit, in which they will be briefed on possible steps and decisions to be taken at the regional level.
The visit comes at a time when the situation in the Middle East is particularly complex, and the Palestinian issue is once again being brought to the center of attention at the international level. This diplomatic activity by the Arab world is proof that the Palestinian issue is still among the priorities of the Muslim Ummah.
