Qatar claims Trump changed Gaza Peace Plan at Israel’s request

Qatar has confirmed that US President Donald Trump modified the Arab and Muslim nations’ proposed peace plan at Israel’s request before presenting it to the world.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry stated that while some of the original suggestions were retained, others were deliberately removed.

In a statement to Arab media, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari revealed that the final version of President Trump’s peace plan was significantly different from the proposal originally put forward by Arab Islamic countries.

He said, “President Trump presented the modified peace plan to the world. Some proposals from Arab Muslim countries were included, while others were removed. The changes were made at the behest of Israel.”

Majid Al-Ansari emphasized that all parties currently engaged in negotiations in Egypt are working toward reaching an agreement. He noted that the exchange of prisoners and the restoration of humanitarian aid are not possible without a mutual settlement.

“Every side involved in the Egyptian-hosted talks wants an agreement,” he said, underscoring the urgency of ending hostilities and stabilizing the situation in Gaza.

In a separate statement addressing the situation in Gaza, the Qatari Foreign Ministry reiterated that the future of Gaza must remain in the hands of the Palestinians. The ministry stressed that any long-term solution should respect Palestinian sovereignty and the right to self-determination.
