Farewell ceremony at Lahore High Court on the appointment of Justice Ali Baqar Najafi to the Supreme Court

A dignified farewell ceremony was organized at the Lahore High Court on the occasion of the appointment of Senior Judge Justice Ali Baqar Najafi to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The ceremony was held at the Judges Lounge, which was attended by esteemed judges of the High Court, lawyers, court staff and Justice Najafi’s family members.

Justice Ali Baqar Najafi served as a judge of the Lahore High Court from April 16, 2012, during his judicial career spanning nearly three decades. His legal services were highly appreciated for their justice, legal knowledge and guidance to senior judges.

In his address, Justice Najafi thanked his fellow judges and the judicial community and reiterated his resolve to discharge his new responsibilities in the Supreme Court with honesty, integrity and constitutional spirit. He said that the true identity of a judge is his impartiality, hard work and loyalty to the law.

At the end of the ceremony, Justice Najafi was presented with souvenirs and the participants gave a standing ovation. His appointment to the Supreme Court is not only a recognition of his high judicial services but is also being considered a positive step for the country’s higher judicial system.
