Bangladesh to host Asia Cup 2027. sources
Bangladesh will host the Asia Cup in 2027, according to sources divulged on Tuesday.
The announcement came after the successful completion of the recent Asia Cup and a meeting of the Asian Cricket Council held in Dubai. Meanwhile, the sources pertaining to the development said that the board members from all countries participated in the meeting with the exception of India.
The conduct of the Indian delegation during the meeting drew criticism from other participants.
Sources also reported disapproval of the Indian team’s refusal to shake hands at the toss and after the match. . The act of not receiving the trophy from Asian Cricket Council President Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi was termed as inappropriate.
The Asia Cup concluded successfully, with record viewership registered. BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla has attended the meeting virtually.
