TLP’s protest over Gaza peace agreement beyond understanding: Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said on Friday that the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s (TLP) protest over the Gaza peace agreement was beyond understanding.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, he said TLP was not holding a protest but causing unrest in the country. He added that while peaceful protest was the right of every citizen, no one would be allowed to spread chaos.

Chaudhry said the state would not come under pressure from any group and made it clear that there was no space left for politics based on pressure tactics or group demands.

He said Palestinians had prostrated in gratitude following the Gaza peace agreement, while TLP’s protest against it defied reason.
