Mosca brothers do wonders for Italy in maiden T20 World Cup victory

Anthony Mosca (62 off 32) and Justin Mosca (60 off 42) have remained unbeaten to help Italy secure their first World Cup in a boisterous fashion by thumping Nepal by 10 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.

Chasing a modest target of 123, the Mosca brothers were absolutely amazing with the bat and treated the Nepalese bowlers with great contempt. Justin Mosca smashed five boundaries and three towering sixes.

Anthony Mosca whacked three boundaries and six towering sixes. The Italian team, who found large support in the crowd, completed equation with 44 balls remaining.

None of the Nepalese bowlers could rose to the occasion as the Italian openers made a memorable Thursday for their team and fans.

Earlier, after put into bat, Nepal were off to shaky start. Ali Hasan picked up a wicket of dangerous Kushal Bhurtel (10-ball 5). The wicket of Bhurtel started a slide and it went downhill thereafter.

Only three of the batters, Aarif Sheikh (27), captain Rohit Paudel (23) and Aasif Sheikh (20) shown some resistance with the bat.

For Italy, Crishan Kalugamage (3-18) spearheaded the bowling attack, picking up three wickets and bagged player of the match award for perplexing the Nepalese batting attack.
