The Islamia University of Bahawalpur celebrating Ashra Rahmatul-lil-Alameen (SAW)

BAHAWALPUR : In light of the announcement of the federal and provincial governments on the arrival of the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, preparations have begun at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to celebrate Ashra Rahmatul-lil-Alameen (SAW). Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has said that in this holy month, 1500 years will be completed since the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), which is undoubtedly a memorable and blessed hour. In this regard, the Government of Pakistan has decided to celebrate “Ashra Rahmatul-lil-Alameen (SAW)” in a great manner. All praise and gratitude are due to the Almighty God who made the Holy Prophet (PBUH) an eternal manifestation of His perfect power.

Countless blessings and peace be upon this holy being, thanks to whom humanity has been blessed with the paths of true greatness and prosperity. Undoubtedly, the Seerat-e-Tayyaba of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a source of light for humanity and a sure means of salvation for the entire world. To benefit from his blessed moments, the Seerat Chair, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Department of Public Relations, is going to organize a wide series of programs in collaboration with various societies and platforms.

Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman has said that the theme of these programs is “State Responsibilities in the Positive Use of Social Media: In the Light of the Seerat-e-Nabi (PBUH)”. In this regard, a National Seerat Conference, Mahafil-e-Hamd-e-Naat, speech and writing competitions, debates, Seerat awareness campaign and panel discussions are being organised so that teachers, students and the public can get maximum benefit from these academic and spiritual activities. Director Seerat Chair Professor Dr. Hafiz Shafiq-ur-Rehman has said that an important link in this series is the Fourth National Seerat Conference, which will be held on September 1, 2025 at 10 am in the Ghotvi Hall of Abbasia Campus. Scholars from Pakistan, especially Bahawalpur Division, will participate in this conference.
