ICC match referee Andy Pycroft apologises to Pakistan team officials

ICC’s controversial match referee Andy Pycroft has apologised to the manager and captain of the Pakistan cricket team.

During the India–Pakistan match, Pycroft had prevented both team captains from shaking hands.

The Pakistan Cricket Board reacted strongly to Pycroft’s action. Pycroft termed the September 14 incident as a result of miscommunication and offered an apology.

The ICC has agreed to hold an inquiry into the code of conduct violation that occurred during the 14 September match.
