IUB will provide all possible assistance to the flood-affected people.Dr Kamran

BAHAWALPUR : Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, has said that the work of the university is not only teaching and research, but also the social and economic development of the community. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur will provide all possible assistance to the flood-affected people. For this purpose, a flood relief cell has been established at the University Chowk by the Flood Relief Cell. Ration bags have been provided for 650 families in the flood relief camp by the Pakistan Overseas Forum. Similarly, 20 ration bags have been provided by the Sailani Welfare Trust.

On this occasion, Sardar Najibullah Khan, Patron-in-Chief of Anjuman Tajran Bahawalpur, Pir Usman Ghani, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Professor Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor, Director Income Tax, Syed Tansir Tirmizi, former President of Bahawalpur Press Club, Naseer Ahmed Nasir and other officers were present. IUB Flood Relief Cell Focal Person Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha said that more than 500 volunteers from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will participate in relief activities for the flood-affected people in and around Bahawalpur. The university’s medical team, veterinary team and psychology department team have also been mobilized.
