QEA Trophy to begin on Oct 6
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released the schedule for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
The premier first-class tournament will begin on 6 October. Matches will take place in Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Abbottabad. Ten regional teams will compete: Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, FATA, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi Blues, Lahore Whites, Multan, Peshawar and Sialkot.
A total of 46 first-class matches will be held, including the final. Each team will play nine matches. The top two teams on the points table will contest the final.
Nine rounds are scheduled in the tournament. The final will be held from 29 November to 3 December.
It is pertinent to note that the Sialkot Region will defend its title.
