UAE issues safety alerts for citizens abroad amid protests, severe weather

The United Arab Emirates has advised its citizens in several countries to remain alert and avoid areas affected by demonstrations and adverse weather, as part of continued efforts to safeguard Emiratis overseas.

In separate advisories, the UAE embassies in Madrid and Rome urged nationals currently in Spain and Italy to exercise caution and avoid protest sites in certain cities. The missions highlighted the need to follow safety instructions from local authorities and monitor official updates to reduce potential risks.

Citizens were also encouraged to register with the Twajudi service, a government platform that supports rapid communication and assistance during emergencies. The embassies advised those in need to contact the UAE through its 24-hour hotlines.

Separately, the UAE Embassy in Hanoi issued a warning to citizens in Vietnam due to forecasts of strong winds and heavy rain linked to Tropical Storm Matmo.
