IUB stands with flood-affected People. Dr. Kamran

BAHAWALPUR : Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur stands with its flood-affected brothers. The entire community, teachers, employees, students and alumni of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur are standing with the provincial government and district administration for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims. The Vice Chancellor expressed this while presiding over a meeting of the IUB Flood Relief Cell at Abbasia Campus. He said that the bank account of the IUB Flood Relief Cell has been restored so that the university community and philanthropists can collect aid for the flood victims. The registration of volunteer students of the university is ongoing and more than 500 students have been registered so far. Head of the IUB Flood Relief Cell Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif Naveed Ranjha said that the central flood relief cell of the university has been activated under the coordination of the National and Provincial Disaster Management Cell, Higher Education Commission, Punjab Higher Education Commission and Punjab Higher Education Department.

Teams from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur are surveying the flood-affected areas of the Sutlej River to establish medical camps, veterinary camps and psychological rehabilitation camps. The Vice Chancellor directed that food, clothing and medicines be arranged for the flood victims. In this regard, university teams will go to the flood-affected areas.
