IUB Conducted a seminar about defense day
BAHAWALPUR : A seminar was held at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in connection with Defence Day. On this occasion, Station Commander Bahawalpur Garrison Brigadier Ghazanfar Iqbal was the chief guest and Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, presided over the ceremony.
On this occasion, the families of the martyrs, Akbar Bhatti father of Shaheed Captain Sohail Akbar, and Dr. Muhammad Abid father of Shaheed Captain Hassan Abid, and Muhammad Arif brother of Shaheed Captain Muhammad Asif attended the ceremony as guests of honor. During the ceremony Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman Dean of the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies delivered a special lecture on the topic of Maraka e Haq Bunyan Al-Marsoos and Dr. Rubina Yasmin Chairperson of the Department of Pakistan Studies talked on Determined and Confident Pakistani.
Akbar Bhatti father of Shaheed Captain Sohail Akbar and Muhammad Arif brother of Shaheed Captain Muhammad Asif expressed their views and appreciated the organizing of the defence and martyrs ceremony by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur on the regularly. On this occasion, students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Performing Art Society presented national songs. The ceremony was attended by Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Professor Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Registrar Muhammad Shaji ur Rahman, Treasurer Tariq Mahmood Sheikh, Director Public Relations Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, students and employees in large numbers.
